I recently got a phone call from this number soon after contacting sky about my broadband. He asked me to run a check on my speed and tell him the speeds for uplload and download; he then continued to tell me what i should have and that i should go onto my pc and connect to the their technical dept server so they could upgrade to what i should be having. Luckily im a bit tech savvy and new my speeds were correct and questioned him on my account which he couldn't give any details on. I'd say this is a scam!!

Called asking for non-executive Director by name - "it s Johnny from the surveyors at Altus" were the words he used. I walked through to our Director and used the same words. Our Director said he won t take the call as he has no ongoing business with Altus and no imminent need. I returned to Johnny and advised this, to which he said "did you tell him it s a financial matter?". I responded, "No, because you didn t say it was. But he won t take the call". A south african lady left a message with a colleague that she needed to talk to me about a private financial matter. When I returned the call, she was unable to tell me where she got my details from as her info was incorrect. Spoke to her manager Luke Taylor who was also unable to tell me where they got my details.
