If you speak then the line is detected as 'an active voice line' and logged as such, a scammer will then be calling you later! If you don't recognize the number calling DON'T SPEAK, JUST LISTEN! They called asking for someone of a different name. I said it's a wrong number and they hung up. However it sounded very much like a scam call centre. After doing 1471 3 called them back and was hearing a recorded message about them being telly tube or telly shute. Never heard of them.

Fraud - didn't know their own website - just asked me to goggle their name, and claimed the website I quoted, later in call i gave a different website and they also said that was correct (it wasn't !).

Telemarketing. My mobile flagged the number as spam so I answered with my usual 'can i help you' and a woman asked for me, i replied again 'can i help you' and she started talking so fast about some sort of market research. TBH i didnt hear what she was saying cus she talked so fast! When i tried to interrupt her she said something like 'im going to call you everyday' then hung up. Ive blocked the number now.

SPAM Would not state where they are from or who they are until you confirmed your details when I refused to confirm any details they company policy and hung up. Definitely a call center from background noise and when you call back the number goes straight back to that operater without company name total scam

SPAM - called and left no message! If any call in my opinion is legitimate, a voicemail message should be left giving the recipient a chance to return the communication after careful consideration! Normally if the caller is reluctant to leave voicemail it’s because they are trying to extract info out of you via questionable means without any recourse. If that’s not the case then surly a voicemail with their info would be reasonable would it not ?

SCAM My wife bought in June a canvas print via the internet from the company Simly Cavas Art (03333660185). To date the item has not arrived.The company is surpose to be in Blackpool. Landline number indicates Northern France. 4 emails unanswered and a number of phone call all met with no reply. THIS IS A SCAM AND A BOGUS COMPANY BE WARNED.

SCAM Third Chelmsford number blocked today. They hung up when I answered but upon dialling the number displayed, was met with automated message saying CB Brokers or CD Brokers. Suspect it's the same scumbags who have been scamming my elderly mother for a number of years by signing her up for appliance insurance for appliances she doesn't own. Calling saying they were from Currys / PC World , accent suggested Indian caller, Currys / PC World do not have permission to call me - caller hung up when challenged on this. I suspect it was a scam call (your PC is infected with a virus type scam)
