These guys called me today and advised they could offer me 5k and transfer in 30 mins. All i had to do was get a guarantor or set up a ppi on the loan to cover the 3 year duration of it. I told them i didn't have money to pay up front for anything like this hense the loan application. They soon reduced this to 2 years cover up front if £90. When i said i still couldnt cover this, they offered up put £200 in my account so they would cover the fees for me... all i had to do was buy a prepaid card from steam.

Said they could get some money back from my bank for me, it just needed me to claim it,then wanted me to give them my personal details. Yeah right, told them that for data protection I do not give any details out over the phone. At this point I had goggled the number and was now aware that it some shady company by the name of Active Capital, apparently debt collectors. I had a missed call from this number on my mobile but no message left. Also similar number called me recently, probably the same marketing company? Similar numbers from the same range 16181484xx are reported as financial marketing, "Friends in Finance

Thank you." Must be a scammer as we have never used Capita

Calls my husbands number every week or so. Answered first time and just silence. Does not pick up now.

This number seems to be used for a classical telemarketing, or it is a directly some general call centre. They usually work for some third company and call with offer of some goods or services for the actual company they were hired for. In this case the number is mostly reported in connection with road traffic accidents, pure telemarketing...
