DANGEROUS SCAM. The Phone rang and caller (a computer) hung up when I didn't speak! This was a computer generated call trying to sniff out voice lines. If you answered "hello" or anything else then the line will be detected as 'a voice line' and you'll likely be called back later by a very clever con-artist! They call us several times a day, every day, despite us being ex-directory. Complete harassment. They're supposedly a company that prevents nuisance calls but charge £20pm for that service - clearly a scam as they ARE they nuisance call!

Was an answerphone recording telling me I owed money to the Tax office. I blocked the number as I'm sure HMRC don't use mobile phones to make calls, and will find a conventional method of contacting me rather than a dodgy auto service.

Had a Messenger response from someone who called himself Gary then Gaz in response to Facebook Market Place advert. Further message asked me to message him on 07984645686 as his iPad was playing up. I replied that I did not have my phone and could only use Messenger. He sent 3 further messages without any problem finally saying that he would call and collect the item next Tuesday and pay cash, and what is my address. I ended the conversation there.

Lady with Indian accent claiming to be from "The Phone House Company" and wanting to upgrade me to a new iPhone 11. I asked how they have my number and she said from a shared database of all UK providers, although this would seemingly breach GDPR for sharing customer's contact details and wouldn't make sense for the businesses to risk losing customers this way. Got a call from this number said they were from Talk Talk........I realised it was a scam so when I said that I didn't actually have a pc or laptop and that it was at work she told me to go to hell !!

SCAM called with an automated message saying that it's from the tax office and I owe tax and to prevent going to jail that I needed to press 1 to answer them. I haven't worked in over 20years so I don't pay tax so not even the smallest possibility that I would owe any. Also the tax office would never contact you by phone. Just and scam to steal money. Why don't they get a proper job.

This number claimed to be Amazon Prime, and asking me for 79.99 for yearly cost, the only problem with that I pay monthly, the number is 471296116760, I will block this number very soon.

Automated call explaining an alert has not been set up or acknowledged on my phone. Definitely dangerous and probably a scam. Make sure to block and ignore.

SCAM: The number 08000478737 is on a letter supposedly from Trading Standards saying a wine investment company I have shares with has gone bust. The letter comes with an Insolvency Service form to complete regarding my shares, and that i must complete it in order to get full value of my shares returned. I must telephone the number to give the answers. Except, the wine company hasn't gone bust & Trading Standards don't send out these kind of letters.

Host asking to meet up for sexual fun after I stayed in livits apartment

Fraud A man with a heavy accent told me that someone tried to draw money from my account. He did not give a bank name or anything else. I asked him to repeat his first phrase that came without a greeting or any other polite introduction. Not his name, not an organisation. I interrupted him to tell him that I knew exactly what kind of fraud he was trying on me and he broke the connection at once. The number seems to be in the Manchester area.

A voice said he was James from Relief Energy who said; "I've been trying to call you for a few days now, actually." Well, nobody has been trying to call me when I was at home, and as I check my phone whenever I've been out, then I know for sure that it's nonsense so I just hung up. Sounded sort of robotic, I suspect it was a recording. Unsettling and therefore I marked it as "Dangerous".SCAM

SCAM Fraud Claimed to be HSBC fraud to check a couple of suspicious transactions and knew the area I was located in. They didn't ask for any secure information but when I called HSBC directly, they had no record of either the call or the transactions on my account.
