SCAM Phishing call suggesting that an overseas payment of £600 had been taken on a credit card. Rang our card provider on a different phone from their online contact page & they confirmed as phishing and that they had reports of calls from others quoting the same call wording

As this number is listed as a number in a region of Russia I am assuming it is a scam. I do not know anyone living in Russia!

If this was my bank they would identify themselves as such, and offer data to prove this. This is likely a scam, and best thing to do is hang up. A genuine caller would then call you back, and actually speak with you. DO NOT PRESS ANY BUTTONS ON YOUR PHONE JUST HANG UP

Thank you Google , I almost got SCAMMED FROM 289-624-4285-- 647-354-2063, .I was about to call this person for a list of software programs that I wanted for my home and new business office and I noticed that this seller was in Toronto, Yes !, So I was happy about what he had to sell because I wanted these programs,and my 14 year daughter, said she had a bad feeling about this software guy. SCAM this number calls and tries to get you to sign up for medical emergency devices like pendants. They tell you different excuses for their call like you had a medical appointment and now qualify for a few pendant with a huge one off service fee on over £150 that y they then say is for 12 months service which isn't a one off payment. They all for your card or direct debit details and when you tell them you think it's a scam they hang up on you.

My second call this morning from an 01257 number - different ones - both claiming to be a banking service who have detected suspicious activity on my account. They are both automated messages with the same female voice and both claim withdrawals from my (unspecified) account from the same places (Amazon and overseas) but quote different amounts. 01257 is my local dial code, which I suspect is meant to lend credibility to the call. It asked to preess 1 to delete or 2 to connect to an operative. I hung up

Automated voice call said "this is your bank calling. There have been two transactions on your account this morning, one from Amazon and one from ........ for £1000.00. ...As you have no previous transactions with these companies ...press 1 to cancel, or talk to us, or 2 to...." I did not press anything and hung up. This is appears to be a dangerous banking scam/fraud.

This was a call from a person saying they were from Virgin Media reporting that our internet had been hacked on numerous occasions to cut a long story short I was asked to download the TeamViewer App onto my iPad so they could “put everything right” they were very convincing and I foolishly parted with some money before my switched on son overheard me and hung up the call, I have deleted the app and contacted by bank to report the “Scam” I wanted to forewarn everyone if they receive a call hang up immediate

It was an automated message saying that my visa card was being used to get £900 from my account. I believe this call to be a scam, beware.
