I was called by this number today, but did not answer it as I don’t know anyone in Glasgow.
When I answered the call, the woman at the other end mentioned a company (I can't remember their name), they told me "I've been informed that you were involved in an accident that wasn't your fault. Is that right?" Clearly phishing. I asked "Who informed you?" and was put on hold. I was tempted to see what would happen next but decided to hang up.

Answered this tonight after repeated calls, its a PC scam where they get you to look at your event viewer then try to convince you to download software so they can take over your computer.. An Indian voice, named James !, confirmed my details claiming to be from the Telephone Preference Service and asked if I was still getting unwanted calls. I confirmed that I still get these and he informed me that I needed to update my details with them as it was about to expire. He then asked if I paid by direct debit - at this point I realised this to be a scam and ended the call.
Returned the call and the answering machine said Brother Steven from the House of Resurrection!

Received an International Call, from an Asian man, who claimed to be calling from the MOJ, as ?3,452 was mine to be claimed. I was to call 02081332009 with the ID number he gave me. I didn t call it but info online suggests they require you to pay for taxes in order to release the funds. This could be anything from ?90 to ?250, via a Ukash voucher. They would then take the serial number of the voucher and cash it, and you d never hear from them again.
Text at 10 past midnight claiming to be from Amazon, surely can’t be difficult to track down those responsible.
