It's a scam. A man speaking with a strong accent, but introducing himself as Michael, said he was calling from the "council repair service". He knew my name but didn't know that I'm not a council tenant. I hung up.

Said he was my energy representative for my area postcode. I asked who he worked for, and after a pause long enough for it to be clear he wasn't going to answer, he continued with his script. I stopped him and asked again what company he was calling from. He then hung up! Clearly a poorly thought-out scam call!

It was a computer generated voice telling me that my card was being used for a £700 transaction. I ended the call and checked all my cards online. No such transaction so I took it that this us a scam.

Fraud A scam - and a very convincing one too !! Purport to be transaction investigators for TSB, and for an hour went over and over questioning, checking transactions, cancelling card, and then working very hard to persuade that account needed closing and reopening with a safe sort code and account number, asking about standing orders and Direct debits!!! Thankfully we realised in time and put a stop to it. They had enough information by then to make it dodgy!!!!

Phone marked it as potential scam/spam, then no voicemail was left. Wouldn't trust it.

Texted me with a strange link to follow… stated that the visited my place but no one answered… too many calls recently… stopped really be bothered, I send them straight into an erotic voyage….

A scam fraudulently claiming to be from Amazon Prime. Spoofing a local number so you pick up. Also used 01263734168 today as had 2 attempts.

SCAM: 33758286792 & 33975819984 come up on phone as location France. They are scammers. 33758286792 rang today & hung up when i answered - 24 hours after a scammer message from 33975819984 rang claiming money had been transferred from account to foreign country. Treat these numbers as dangerous / scammers.

Number 02071124802 phoned me and said they was from start up loans. www.startuploans.co.uk and wanted me to transfer them £58 for the loan to be secured under the insurance. They provided me with a person called Jamin bank details which straight away is strange for a company. I was told it was the managers details as money transferred to the company always bounces back. Number called saying they were from the security department of my bank. No bank name was given. apparently there were two transactions going through on my card, one for Amazon and another larger sum was an international money transfer. I was invited to press 1 to cancel the transactions or 2 to confirm. Naturally I did neither.
