Unsure whether it was a scam call or not - talking about our internet connection, disconnecting etc.... couldn't find this number on the providers website. Hence, I just redialled the number and it doesn't exist - what a surprise, not!
Missed a call to my mobile from this unknown local Nottingham number. Suspicious as I haven't given my number to any but a handful of friends, and my doctor/dentist/pharmacy. No message left. Another caller-trace service says this number was first detected 11 days ago, but there were no reports about it. When I checked 10 minutes ago, *this* service said there had been 16 searches in the last 10 days. Now when I've returned 20 minutes later it says there have been 20 searches. says credit investigation company when I picked up the call. I questioned their authenticity and was talked over when trying to ask questions so no listening skills there. Alarm bells are ringing ... what an amateur setup. Call leads to a lesser used number from a geographical location (Bolton). Calls blocked. NB: Don't be the 'one' who accepts this, ask questions, no sales & marketing company (legit or not) will make calls like this, question EVERYTHING you have been WARNED! don't do it be vigilant.

A lady with an English accent informed my that there has been a report identifying loft insulation materials as hazardous, and that everybody is entitled to a free survey. I explained that my property didn't fit her survey expectations and he apologised for bothering me and hung up. As a guess, anyone who opts for a survey will be told that any existing insulation is deadly and it will be removed at an exorbitant cost, but as I don't know that for certain I am only labelling this call as annoying.

I'm immediately greeted by an American automated voice giving me options to which I decide to hold for assistance cuz none of them mean anything to me. They sounded like a call centre and gave a long introduction...when I asked them to repeat who they were they hung up
Credit card/bank account scam. Recorded message stated unusually high values transactions had occurred. Did a quick online check of my accounts and there were no such transactions.
Calling on personal cell number about 'IT services' and domains I have registered - through my business. Challenged them on ignoring TPS, and fact that they have obtained data illegally since all domain registration detail is now 'redacted' - caller hung up. Sounded like a VOIP line, big call centre by the level of noise in the background and most likely Indian sub-continent from accent of caller.
Caller ID said it was Gourmet Burger however the person that spoke sounded like they were in a call centre reading off a script. When I asked them to repeat what they had said they hung up.

Tried to scam me by calling my phone and asked for my email address. Then I was told to check my email for a password to allow her to add me to her address list because she allegedly lost her list. When I checked the email message it was a code authorizing to reset my Facebook password, so I did not give the information. This person was even messaging in our native dialect. She avoided talking to me live though when I answered her call the first time, and just sent the message asking for my email.
