This number called me and said they were calling about an accident I had within the last 3 years. I asked her what accident would that be? She said you tell me! I said no you seem to know so much about me you tell me. She was so rude. She said don t give me that all you had to say was yes or no. Said I've been involved in a car accident the last 2 years, when I stated that's a false information, she just hung up (no apology, no information provided, no further chat about). they called me, a sweet lady stated that my loan had been approved and took my bank and card details. They took out 50 gbp out of my bank and did not inform me as well. From the voice i could make out that she was an Asian. They have not refunded my money and never answer the call.

The remarkable thing is this is just one of a number of calls I ve had about a minor car accident I had about a year ago. My phone number was given to my insurance company ( a reputable company I ve always thought ) someone passed it on to these chancers. We talk about the rising menace of fraud and scams, this practise of selling on customers details has to stop. Whatever happened to the data protection act?

SCAM Automated call from "Amazon", confirming renewal of Amazon Prime for one year for £71 plus. Given options of "Press 1 for this, 2 for that." Of course I have not renewed an Amazon Prime membership - didn't have one to renew. I said nothing, pressed no buttons, and after about 30 seconds of silence the line dropped. It's likely they would have asked for my cc details so the could confirm/reverse the charge; I'll never know :-)
Did not speak when answered, will give one more chance to leave a message before blocking !
