Potential fraud , purported to be bank , checked with bank it's not them

Called claiming to be from Visa and with 2 transactions on my account. "Press 1 to connect to our agent". Logged in to my account on a PC and no such transactions. Probably a scam

Indian woman claiming to be from O2 and wanting to discuss my latest bill. I'm not with O2. Therefore a scammer.

Automation voice asking me to 'press 1' to be connected to Western Union Transfer

This is a scam. They phoned me on my (not a smart) mobile. An automated American voice stated they were from HMRC informing me that I owed money and they were sending the dept collectors around. To discuss this matter further and settle the debt I should press; 1. Problem is, I did my Tax Return in April and don't owe any tax. I've not owed tax for years. This is because I am on Carers Allowance. HMRC do not have my mobile number. SCAM

Called on 10th Feb 2023. Man with an Indian accent claiming to be from Virgin Media. Told me our IP address had been hacked and changed from a UK to a US one. Obviously total rubbish and scam. Wanted me to speak to a 'very knowledgeable engineer' to connect to my computer and 'fix it'. No doubt wanted me to connect to and open a scam website. He eventually hung up when I told him I was actually a network engineer but was quite persistent.

Scam call from chartistake.com seller. They knew partially my name and tried to get me into investing with them. Looking at reviews it's clear that victims of this page cannot withdraw their money, only deposit.

This is a local phone number to me. A recorded message,claiming to be from debit card reporting a payment of £900 was used on online shopping. This is obviously a scam, as there are no banking facilities in this area Automated call SCAM

They then asked for a payment of £201.56 to be made to ‘Mary Monco’ and at that point I knew it was fraudulent. Reported to RBS and they confirmed it wasn’t them

This was a scammer who pretended to be from BT talking about illegal access to your broadband.!! That's rich!! Hacked my bank account and Amazon a/c. It took ages-up to 5 days to clear this mess up and it leaves a sour taste in your mouth. If someone had asked me last night if the death penalty was appropriate for scammers, I would have agreed. Now thinking about it castration without anaesthetic would be better.

Number 02071124802 phoned me and said they was from start up loans. www.startuploans.co.uk and wanted me to transfer them £58 for the loan to be secured under the insurance. They provided me with a person called Jamin bank details which straight away is strange for a company. I was told it was the managers details as money transferred to the company always bounces back. Phoned me and played a computer recodred message which claimed to be from my card provider, without telling me who they were. Told me that there had been suspicious transactions on my account and tried to get me to speak to them. I hung up and checked with my bank who told me that nothing of the sort could have happened. Fraudulent telephone call. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION!

02081521989 This person called pretending to be a computer and telephone engineer. He wanted to check my broadband speed and land line connections. He wanted me to switch on computers and check broadband speed etc. Of course I did not comply and hung up. I contacted my provider for landline and computer broadband and they are convinced that this is a “Scam"

This number called me on 28.04.23. Supposedly, a message from my bank to inform that my debit card had been used for suspicious purchases. To cancel the 2 transactions and speak to an agent press 1, which I did. A woman with a very strong foreign accent requested my name, date of birth and address in order to make the cancellation. She then asked for my card sort code, which rang alarm bells. I told her that if she was calling from my bank she should already know that and I would ring them. She hung up.

SPAM guess ? They rang at 08.45 and silent. They there was a click, a background noise, then they hung up. Very annoying. Luckily I’m not old and infirm but this could unsettle an older person.

This number is attached to a PayPal request for £749.99 from a Brad Faylo ([email protected]) I declined the request, obviously, but it mentions fraudulent activity in my account debiting £749.99 GBP for iFLY gift cards.

SCAM!!! They pretend to be your child in danger and ask you to call them on this new number from WhatsApp. FAKE! Please do not hand them any money.
