I told her 'the managing director would not be interested in her call but thank you' and then put the phone down as we do not take cold calls. She rang straight back and spoke to another colleague saying that I was rude to hang up on her! This will lead to monies being taken from your account because you've allowed it to happen. Remember that if HMRC wish to contact you at all for what ever reason, they will do it by post and not on the phone. The same applies with banks. Please, people, don't do it.
