Definitely a scam. BT, Openreach, TalkTalk, Virgin etc., will never call you about a technical issue unless you contact them.

Dangerous number, avoid at all cost. Some none speaking English wanker trying to tell his name was Jack, but seemed to take him ages to remember his name was Jack. These people have been calling us weekly for last 3 months asking for my partner by name about an accident claim . There has been no accident. A few weeks ago I told them I had looked them up on the internet and there are multiple reports of them harassing people for sales and to remove my number, the calls stopped for about 3 weeks but now they have started again! Going to have to have them blocked by tel co. It s the only way they will stop, should be reported for harassment

I was instructed to press one to find out more which of course I ignored. I am extremely angry about this call which was quite upsetting - when life is difficult enough at the moment.
