"Carphone Warehouse" - blatantly a scam.
Recorded message stating "your bank card has been used today in two transactions - one Amazon and one a money-transfer website". Request followed to press one numerical key if transactions authorised and another if not. Scam.
Possible scam, it was the usual silent for a few seconds then a beep to connect to the call centre. I hung up before they spoke.

Sounded suspect to me from an unknown company wanting to talk about my broadband. Took ages to respond when I answered which usually means they are calling multiple numbers and then nebulous about answering why they were calling. Be wary.
SCAM. They sent me a text saying they were from USPS. The message was as followed: The USPS package arrived at the warehouse but could not be delivered due to incomplete address information. Please confirm your address in the link. https://usps.deliveeroccy.com (Please reply 1, then exit the text message and open it again to activate the link, or copy the link and open it in your Safari browser). The USPS team wishes you a wonderful day!

SPAM - blocked by BT call blocker. Called back a few days later - said "this number is no longer in use". Just had blocked call from VERY SIMILAR NUMBER 01174730148 (called it "the number you have dialled has not been recognised")

Fraud The claimed to be from my home appliance cover. They tried to get my bank details (even though we are on direct debit so the real provider would already have it). When challenged they called back several times getting more condescending each time. We then phoned our actual cover provider and they confirmed it was a scam call. DANGEROUS.

Fraud SPAM SCAM A Mr. Ford claiming to be from HMRC, telling me that I have an outstanding debt of £545 which must be paid immediately, otherwise there will be a warrant issued for my arrest. I said that I didn't believe this was a genuine call, hung up and then called HMRC but couldn't get through. After an hour and half trying I gave up, but I don't believe they call people from mobile numbers and I know I don't owe anything.

Claimed to be from the FCA about a frozen bit coin account. I challenged him to prove he was from the FCA and give me a number to call him back on. He didnt give me a number but tried to say he could prove he was from the FCA bu searching their site for a reference number - the ref number linked to a real person but not someone who worked for the FCA. Called me twice stating he was from Microsoft and stated our computer was being hacked. on the second call he shouted, "Have I tried to sell you something... NO!!!!! Have I asked you for your bank account or for money... NO!!" I was very angry and gave him some nice new words to look up. There is no way he was a specialist from Microsoft!
