Web development company from India using a false UK landline number. This is now the 70th call from an overseas company after registering a domain name yesterday. As a web development company of many years standing, we have never had this hassle before when registering new domain names for our clients. These people are like vultures!!!! Did not catch the name but said she was could claim back interest that had been wrongly charged to all my bank accounts and building society accounts over the past 20 yrs due to a new government ruling. She knew my name and address and telephone number, although she did get the postcode wrong. Did not correct her. Asked her to put the info in writing as was wary of any cold callers. She said OK and hung up. Interested to see if any info comes through the post!!
A ‘cold call’ to my mobile number asking me to confirm I had been involved in an accident. When I asked how she had obtained my number, she ended the call.
