Phoned said my name then said its your bank we need to veryfi unusual activity on your bank account, give me your full name, address date of birth. I said NO, he insisted and I said NO, you have phoned me I don't know who you are he then hung up. I contacted my bank immediately and it was not one of their phone numbers.

SCAM Has tried several times to tell me that I have no loft insulation-when asked does he know who he is calling and where and how does he know, he prattles on for 30 seconds and then must realise that he is getting nowhere. Today I just said "its you again" and he said "have a nice day" and rang off. He needs to be stopped before he does real damage!

Scammer. Called advising he was from Microsoft Technical Support and i had a virus on my pc ect. Told me to press windows sign and R and asked what do i see. Told him nothing. Had him going round in circles for 20 minutes before telling him my pc wasnt switched on. This was a call from o2 sales, trying to sell discounted SIM only mobile phone contracts after I ordered a free PAYG SIM card from their website.
Guy introduce himself saying he was contacting me as i was on a list to receive a refund due to bank charges. He asked me lots of questions about who ive had loans from and who ive had credit cards with. I said im sorry this doesn t sound right to me...he got very irritated and told me to check the number it is a recognized BT number at a registered address. Have had several calls from "Excellent Life", displaying different numbers including 02036096500. Always ask for me by name. Sometimes they give an address and ask if it s correct, but don t do anything if you give a different address. First question is always "are you working or retired?". If I give a vague answer ("I m an enumerator, what would you call that?"), they go on to the next question, always "what is your age group?". They hang up when I refuse to answer.
