Caller: "Hello is that Mr-----?" (they had the correct name) Me: "Yes?" Caller: "I m ringing from a company called Quadrangle and we are doing some research..." Me: -CLICK!- Get a panasonic home phone, you can add numbers like this to the blocked list and the phones won t even ring - Bliss!
Keep calling and hanging up when I answer. When I call them back, they hang up again. I have no clue who they are or what they want, but I d love for the phone calls to stop!

Well-organised scam, claiming that internet connection to be terminated in 24 hours due to illegal activity. Obviously tied in with call received 5 minutes earlier from Kuwaiti number 09655448846 bearing similar recorded message
Rang me claiming that I had an accident on the road in the past 2 years, I have not. People were heard laughing and messing around in the background. Do not trust them, ask them to take your name off the list as I did. Price comparison websites for car insurance had to have passed on me and my partners number as he got the same call straight after me

Called claiming to be Scottish Power. I stupidly went through the security questions (address and DOB) as I am in process of leaving Scottish Power. He then said I had a balance to pay on the account and would I like to pay by card. I had suspicions though and said I would do it online - he asked why, at which point I was really suspicious and called up Scottish Power who didn t know the number, and said my account was in credit. I lady called me saying she had frozen a transaction from going to a offshore account in China. The currency was bitcoin. This was odd as these transactions go to a bit coin wallet then to a debit card that is registered on your account. She did no DPA to verify that I was the account holder. Then she wanted me to download a app I refused so she asked if I have a pc or laptop. I said pc she wanted to screen share. I would do no such things I told her then hug up.
