They ring 2-3 times a day to mobile and landline. Never leave a message, just blank. Disappear when phone is picked up. Very annoying! I take landline off the hook, they ring again as soon as replaced. I don t answer my mobile as number not known.

SCAM - pretending to be from Lloyds Bank... asking to call on 01332 556003 if a standing order for £537 to NVG Life Insurance had not been set up by the recipient. Recipient has no account with LLoyds, so definitely a scam.
Follow up call came from a mobile number with a restricted access after original contact came from above number. Wanting to discuss shares from a previous employer and an offer that was to be put forward by minor company shareholders.

I live in Edinburgh, and I thought it was a taxi company (there is a taxi company in Edinburgh, whose number starts 0131-777), but the bloke, with a very pronounced Asian/Indian accent said that he wanted to talk to my wife to discuss her account with them. SCAM Called about internet speed, this one claimed to be BT. Many calls last few weeks, sometimes claim to be Virgin, want to know speed, ip addr5ess and probably more. I string them along until they realise I am wasting their time, they then hang up abruptly. This one was not very polite.
Rang twice leaving blank voicemail messages (probably automated caller). Called back, line rings once then goes engaged.
Dangerous - automated called pretending to be from HMRC, told me to dial 1 or risk being arrested shortly.
