This number calls me frequently. They claim to be Call Blocking Department. They appear to have my name but do not pronounce it correctly. I tell them I'm not interested, and ask them not to call me again. Irony of ironies, they keep calling. Without any firm evidence, I would say it reeks of a scam.

Unsolicited call from some sort of marketing company in Leeds called Smart Compare. I have blocked this number now.
Picked up but nothing on other side hangs up after 5 - 10 seconds, maybe their bot is broken.

I just watched the scam baiters on YouTube and this is just what the scammers do. Do not fall for it. Contact the company yourself if you want to upgrade!

Pretending to be from Amazon and saying that I had a £900 transaction taken from my Amazon account and wanted me to follow their instructions and put a code in my phone I told him to call me back in 10 minutes as my daughter would be speak to him and she works with the police he hung up. Google didn't find it (but found a few close variations from Southern American countries, not anyone I know then, (we're in UK).
