Received call from busy overseas call centre claiming to be BT. When I pointed out that yesterdays call was reported as a fraud to the police she hung up. This was an automated call claiming to be from a bank (unspecified), warning me about two purchases through Amazon, on my bank card. I had a similar call for a local number earlier in the day. I didn't click 1 or 2 to authorise or to get help. Apparently the number is a landline in Bangalore!

Scammers have found yet another number to use. This one told me that the cover on my washing machine had expired - I have no such insurance, warranty or guarantee. Caller had my name and address despite being registered with TPS. Another crook and clearly a scam.
This number called me today just before 2pm. Luckily I have a call blocker app installed, so any unknown number go straight to it. Now I know it s spam and won t answer if they call again.
The number is a Glasgow City Council call out for all schools. Individual schools have similar numbers but end in 00xx. You can t call it direct as it is outgoing only, no incoming allowed. Call the main switchboard and complain
