I Believe this is a scam call 01985216376 - I had a call from this number from a person with an Indian accent calling himself Barry. He said he was calling from open reach regarding our internet line, in the background it sounded like an office environment. I called the number back and got an English speaking gentleman called Richard and no office sounds in the background and he was not open reach. They may be tapping in to UK numbers to catch people out. My internet is working Fine by the way.

Car accident claim scam-mongers, probably a robot, female voice, said a company name so quickly I couldn t catch it. The opening speech was along the lines of I m calling because you were in a car accident that wasn t your fault, is that right? . Said no and put the phone on one side - call ended after 23 seconds, but at least it was at their cost. Am registered with TPS for this mobile, so will report and block.

This company has been calling my elderly vunerable neighbour since last year. I have lost count of how many times I asked them to take her off the call list. Reported to TPS seemed to stop for a while and has now started up again. Turned away 2 salesmen in last couple of weeks. Since Sept they have called her 9 times. Called 4 times in one day! I thought about calling back but glad I didn t! I google every unknown number that calls me now. As of late, I am getting unknown calls every other day. I m not sure who I gave these details to, but no doubt at least my phone number has been sold to scammers and or telemarketers.
This no. is very similar to others starting 01772 (which is supposedly Preston, but with spoof phoning this could be from anywhere in the World) then 924, then 3 digits e.g. 045...
