A scouser John called and said he was calling from property services ltd... or something, and was calling to see if I qualified for government subsidy. He was nice enough, but it worried me a bit that he knew my name and had my address. Politely asked him to remove me and do one.

Untrustworthy scale - 10! Computer scam! Have been called at least five times in as many days. Different person each time (one time a woman, the rest were men). Some VERY aggressive. Have told them in no uncertain terms (!) that I know it is a scam and that they are NOT calling from Microsoft and requested they never call my number again. It's the 'the warranty on your washing machine has expired' scam. They will ask you to set up a direct debit, hoping to get your bank details. Quite persistent. If you play gormless and keep them talking you will stop them phoning someone else!
Text message - claiming to be from the Royal Mail. Said they'd tried to deliver a parcel while I was out - so I should send them £2 for re-delivery, otherwise the parcel would be returned to sender. However ... 1) I was at home all day; 2) I'm not expecting a delivery via the Royal Mail; 3) The Royal Mail don't levy a charge for re-delivery.
