Scammer - claiming to be from BT internet. Was requesting that I give remote access to my laptop by running some remote viewer program. My internet connection is not supplied by BT so I strung them along as long as possible leaving them hanging on whilst I did other jobs - if they are wasting time with me they are having less time to scam others.

Asked for email address as I didn't have the time to speak, told them to send me an email as they seemed to have my info, but he could only confirm my name, so I hung up. I have had three calls from fictitious numbers being used by these criminals in one day. They are easily identified by crackling noises and indistinct speech. I said nothing. They quickly rang off. If I had let them they would have tried to get access to my computer.

Lady with asian accent cold called and had details of address. Wanted to sell us boiler cover and that we were paying too much with our previous provider, could not provide us with details of who we currently have boiler cover (we dont have any which gives the game away) although played along for a while for a laugh. Claimed the company was in Crawley and called Utility Care. She hung up. Searches on internet cannot find this company, most likely a scam to get bank details.
