I received this call yesterday and it appears to originate from Meriden, Conneticut. I automatically ignore these sorts of numbers and block them. However, I'm being inundated with these calls on a daily basis and it's so frustrating as they will keep calling you but from a different number!

Rang me 3 times telling me I had recently applied to a trading company which was untrue. Would not give their company name, only first name of callers (2 - one with Indian dialect, second and third caller with African dialect). Had an old BT email number for me (10 years ago). Very rude common woman (bad election lessons) evaded my requests to come to the point. Then, when I had refused to give straight answers to personal questions, turned abusive having realised I had her number (sorry for the bad joke!). Do not take calls from this number, and if you do, keep making refusals - they won t be playing fair with you.

Client reported someone from this number has called 4-5 times in the last 2 weeks saying that he owed money.No other details.They gave correct surname but wrong initial. Gave correct postcode but no other info. Client has no debts/loans. Client very vulnerable, distressed by these calls( one was after 8pm)
Called Sunday morning claiming to be doing a health survey for the government. Told them i needed proof. Gave me a couple of freephone numbers to ring which also seem dodgy. having read this thread I ve no doubt they will phone again but forewarned is forearmed.
