SPAM (potential scam) Called regarding a 'government scheme to consolidate debts'. I said I don't have any debts. Argued me out. I said again that I don't have any debts. He seemed disappointed.

Apparently someone from "credit investigation" saying I have "several debts" but that they know "I'm paying them off" and attempted to get more information from me. Absolutely a massive scam caller, no company name given and just factually incorrect. They're fishing for some poor person who's in debt that will believe the nonsense they're saying. Be very careful and do not give them information, they had my full name. Scammer/Phishing.

Finance firm been pestering me daily for over a month. Tried asking them to stop in many polite ways, now I just tell them to **********. Before anyone tells me thats illegal. Iam 72 on a lot of medication I lost my wife to cancer because our oncology unit was closed for covid use and now my daughter is going the same way. Me being abusive to a bunch of bone idle idiots sat on their asses making life a misery for others with this constant barrage of nuisance calls SHOULD be illegal.

Called asking for non-executive Director by name - "it s Johnny from the surveyors at Altus" were the words he used. I walked through to our Director and used the same words. Our Director said he won t take the call as he has no ongoing business with Altus and no imminent need. I returned to Johnny and advised this, to which he said "did you tell him it s a financial matter?". I responded, "No, because you didn t say it was. But he won t take the call". As of writing, 3 different numbers tried to call me today (020 8956 2943, 020 8956 2230 and 020 8956 2601). They all start with 020, I don’t know anyone who owns those numbers, maybe the same individual is using different numbers to call me. Likely a fraud and now it’s harassing.

I Believe this is a scam call 01985216376 - I had a call from this number from a person with an Indian accent calling himself Barry. He said he was calling from open reach regarding our internet line, in the background it sounded like an office environment. I called the number back and got an English speaking gentleman called Richard and no office sounds in the background and he was not open reach. They may be tapping in to UK numbers to catch people out. My internet is working Fine by the way.

Answering this number gives rise to a recorded message threatening legal action and arrest for tax evasion, and an option to press a number for further action. I rang off, but this looks like a dangerous phishing call that is after personal details (banking details). As it comes from a Westminster landline it should be easy to trace and shut down. It should be investigated by by the police.

Missed the call. The call came in at was just before 9pm. Even (I’m not saying this is but) if this was a valued call to be made, to ring at such an hour, is a joke.
