They cold-call phoned me about renewal of insurance on kitchen white goods. They needed some banking details to alter the payment paperwork because they were giving me a no-claims discount. Knew enough about me to make this plausible. I 'needed to go to an appointment' [actually true] so I had to ask them to phone back tomorrow - which they were readily willing to do. Number called saying they were from the security department of my bank. No bank name was given. apparently there were two transactions going through on my card, one for Amazon and another larger sum was an international money transfer. I was invited to press 1 to cancel the transactions or 2 to confirm. Naturally I did neither.

SCAM - automated call regarding a £300.00 charge for Amazon also a £1,200.00 charge for an international money order, press 1 to authorise etc.

Claim to be BT for an upgrade the English person on the phone made me think its legit but it is 100 a scam I phoned BT back on the number on my bill and they said its a scam they had my contract end date wrong also they ask for a 4 digit pin they text to your phone BT NEVER ASK FOR A SECURITY CODE THAT HAS BEEN TEXTED TO YOUR PHONE THIS SCAM NEARLY GOT ME NOT BT

Just hang up as there is no identification to suggest they are real and there are no confirmed names or card details to ensure it is you or your card. All very open to you giving them more information should you decide to press any buttons and engage with them!

Message said two payments had been taken from 'your card this morning' - one to Amazon for £200 I think, the other was £700 cash drawn from my card but didn't actually specify WHICH card it was.- Press 1 to authorise payments, or 2 to speak to someone. Complete bunkum. Call supposedly from Liverpool. Probably a spoofed number.
