Somebody claiming to be Ethan Hunt supposedly from Ace Investing claiming I had expressed an interest in investing with their firm. Wouldn't give up. Pretty sure he was a scammer but he did know my name, phone number and a (throwaway) email address.
The calls from this number take place at very different times. In a recall, the number is always busy.
i answered and said nothing. It then cut itself off. Suspect its auto dialling and waiting for voice activation of a scam message.
Will try to get information out of you, making you think they can help you claim for an accident. Very good at sounding like they know what they re talking about!

These people have been calling us weekly for last 3 months asking for my partner by name about an accident claim . There has been no accident. A few weeks ago I told them I had looked them up on the internet and there are multiple reports of them harassing people for sales and to remove my number, the calls stopped for about 3 weeks but now they have started again! This number was a representative from a Greenpeace call agency. I checked with Greenpeace to validate this call and they confirmed it. They were asking for a direct debit payment after acquiring my number from a petition I signed. The service was friendly and informative and not malicious unless you don't like charity pressure calling.

I had a call from this number where a somewhat threatening female voice informed me that criminal charges were about to be brought against me. I'm a 74 year old female who, while maybe not quite fitting the description of an angel, has not committed any crimes, heinous or otherwise. Were I the type who was easily intimidated I might have pressed 1 to see further details but luckily I'm not so I didn't. I'd love to punch this so and so right in the kisser but that WOULD be criminal - but deserved!!

SCAM proporting to be from amazon prime with a refund. Had my partner on the phone this morning for an hour and had access to his phone screen after convincing him to download apps! Called back this evening and I had words with him. Called me a mutherfucker when I suggested he was a scam artist. Called him back on another phone. No answer but was called back a couple of minutes later and the same male south Asian voice denied any knowledge of the call.
