SCAM!! Called saying someone was trying to buy an iPhone on my account. They sent me an Amazon authentication code and wanted me to tell them what it was! I think this is so they could gain access to my account. Very scary they could do this. I have now changed my Amazon login details!

I used him to check if my info actually was leaked and then I rejected the transaction and cancelled my card lol. Pretty funny call, although dangerous to those who aren’t very IT literate. I am suspicious of this phone number. The man phoning spoke good English with a strong accent and was convincing. He told me he was from AV (antiviral program) and that my recent payment of £149 had not gone through. He offered me a discount policy at £29 for the next year. Re The failed bank payment, the bank itself stopped this money and when I spoke to my bank it was decided that the £149 seemed high for an anti viral program and there was a possibility of fraud. FRAUD SCAM!! This was an automated message initially asking if I'd authorised a payment for £600 to overseas. Transferred to a human who said the payment on your visa debit card, I asked which card, she replied your visa debit. I asked again which card, was told from your bank. Which bank? The bank you authorised the payment from. I said I have several banks so which one. She replied Halifax bank, when I said I don't bank with Halifax she hung up on me. Be careful folks!

they called me twice no caller id claiming to know the last four digits of my card, part of my address (which was wrong) and saying i made a transaction on the weekend which i did not, they sent me a code and it said to add my card to their apple pay, so obviously they were trying to take my credit card details and commit fraud on my account, they kept saying im verified my identity they then went silent when i said ill call my bank, called bank and they said yep my account is secure and that was a phising.
