There is an option in British gas website it`s called: Did we call you? By entering the number 08009806166 the result was: We re sorry but there has been a problem. We ve been unable to locate the phone number you have entered. After trying calling them, an answer machine was speaking:" sorry we are unable to speak with you, our call is not urgent and will try to contact you again".

Also had a call from some guy with a dodgy accent and loads of background noise. Claims he was calling to get me a better deal on my mobile contract and a better phone without actually changing network provider. He knew nothing about my current contract or handset. Not to be trusted.
