Im not from the uk. And the guy that called me was clearly indian but spoke english. Never gave his name or company that he called for. obvious scam is obvious.

Pretends to be from block chain. They say that your crypto account needs to be unlocked as it's been lying dormant for years. They tell you that there's about 50k in your block chain account and to get to your account you need to add £300.

Was called by this number early in the morning with an automated message regarding an Amazon Prime subscription I had not renewed and was going to be charged £95 because of this oversight. I could press one number to speak to an adviser and another to contest it. I did neither as it was clearly a scam. Interesting that this was a landline - it makes me wonder if they forgot to press 'number withheld'. Would think this could be investigated

This was the first time there was an automated call at the other end purporting to be from HMRC asking me to press 1 because I hadn’t replied to them so they would start legal proceedings. Obviously a scam but worrying as I contacted the HMRC yesterday regarding tax relief and HMRC are one of the few organisations that use my number on a phone that is only used for verification purposes and not my main phone number used for day to day stuff. I dialled this number back because I could not understand the woman and I got a message saying "if this number called you it was probably a hoax call" ???? i've never heard that before!

Called @ 14.25 on 06/02/2023. Asian/Indian voice claiming to be from 'Traffic Management Services'. Call is purporting to be able to help with an accident within the last 2 years. I haven't had an accident in over 15 years. Told caller to cancel the call for the above reason.

They called pretending to be from Amazon asking for a payment.
