My record will show that I have been alert through two telephone contacts from my sheltered housing flat in ensuring that my bills are timeously paid with appropriate assurances. I, no-one I know, and no-one in their right mind would answer an unknown number. After searching through hospital numbers for fear it might be a dear friend trying to get in touch I found tonight the 10 or more calls came from my energy supplier with whom prior arrangements were amicably in place. Quantitatively this is harassment:

Called claiming to be Scottish Power. I stupidly went through the security questions (address and DOB) as I am in process of leaving Scottish Power. He then said I had a balance to pay on the account and would I like to pay by card. I had suspicions though and said I would do it online - he asked why, at which point I was really suspicious and called up Scottish Power who didn t know the number, and said my account was in credit. They called my mobile and left a message for me to phone with meter readings (even though I sumitted them on-line in last 30 days). They get paid for each reading, without them collecting it. So my energy provider has increased costs(passed onto the customer) to receive something they already have. I ll save costs for me and my provider by submitting on-line.

calls about ppi and life insurance. Its all a con they try and get sales that benefit them. Charging 35% plus vat for their "service" don t go through with it. I asked how they got my details and they said third party sources. Like who???

I get roughly 10 calls a day from London which I presume is the same company with same first 7 numbers being 020 3966 followed by 2150, 2146 and 2264, no message is ever left ...

My father keeps getting calls from this number on his mobile in South Africa. He is a cancer patient and in hospital... it has been going on for more than a year, they just keep calling. It distresses him very much. He only has the phone to call my mum when he needs her to bring something to hospital.

Claim to be Talk Talk technical department. They want to access your router. They become abusive and name calling if you defy them.
