Call claimed to be from Vodafone retentions department promising me a 40% discount, asked me a bunch of security questions and then asked me to read him the code from a password reset email that he had triggered on my Vodafone account. This apparently would enable him to send me the priority app so I could access 5G calls and VIP features. Alarm bells at this point. I said I'd call him back then checked with Vodafone. They confirmed that this is not a number they use and not to give out any information. SC

Just received a call from this number from an articulate young man who attempted to argue with me when I questioned who he was and shouted over me rather than listening to what I was saying. It was apparently something to do with green energy and saving me money. I said I did not deal with cold callers and asked him not to ring again as he could not save me money as my energy bills are fixed but he said I did deal with cold callers as I had answered the phone! It was altogether a very unpleasant call.

This number has been calling for well over a year. If you pick up its not answered but sounds like something may happen like a message. I don't wait for that I hang up before. Probably a scammer. This number has made repeated nuisance calls since 30 May 2023. I have a call screening phone and they never go through call screening to announce themselves or leave a message. They’ve called me on various weekdays, and Saturdays and Sundays. Calls have been in the daytime and evening, with one made after 8pm. This is not a company as they don’t call at those times. Anyone genuine would leave a message.

When teh caller was challenged it was responded to by a possible African accented woman stating "I am your mother bitch!". The caller attempted to call again some minutes later. The call was not answered.
