automated call stating 2 large amounts of money had been withdrawn form my account and to press a number. No ID for which account. A SCAM. I put the phone down.
Someone called my landline on this number about 0815 this morning and it woke me up! No message left. It is a similar number to a couple of calls I have received this week. The previous callers claimed to be from BT, saying there was a problem with my broadband connection - which there isn’t and I told them so. It is likely a scam to get you to give information so they can hack into your system.
Fraud ... claiming to be a credit investigation advisor ... I said who gave you my number she stated the fcra financial conduct regulation authority... 1. I have no credit and 2. There's no such agency.

Hysterically, when I said I am not with Vodaphone, the person on the other end asked which company I was with and tried to engage in conversation with me! Heavy Asian accent. 020 8144 3803 Windows computer virus scam. They (whoever 'they' are) have been using the same script for years. In fact, this number goes back a while. They con you into giving them access to your PC, plant a virus on it (supposedly) then charge you £100's to remove it. Just hang up & block the number.
