I've had a call from this number claiming they are from my bank Halifax, i notice the area code is Halifax but i'm not sure if this is a scam call.

Called about the accident I was in (I wasn’t in one) told him where to go

London and country mortgage brokers - Usually estate agents will forward your number to them if you are looking to buy etc.

Calls and hangs up. Called a couple of times last week and once today.

although a pontefract code , Chris reckons he is from DFS in Head Office Doncaster. Even stating his postcode as DN6 7NA. He further states, saying there are hundreds of people at doncasetr DFS who could have phoned me here in Shrewsbury despite NO connection whatsover.

Caller with Indian accent that was difficult to understand asking if daughter had been involved in an accident. Explained we were with telephone preference service and asked for their number. Number given was( 0151) 3249961 but last number redial showed it was (0151) 3204455. Probably a scammer used a spoofed but valid UK number.
