Called Sunday morning claiming to be doing a health survey for the government. Told them i needed proof. Gave me a couple of freephone numbers to ring which also seem dodgy. having read this thread I ve no doubt they will phone again but forewarned is forearmed.

Follow up call came from a mobile number with a restricted access after original contact came from above number. Wanting to discuss shares from a previous employer and an offer that was to be put forward by minor company shareholders.
Offered me a free trial of google street view virtual tour. Checked companies website and it is genuine.
Called and hung up before I had a chance to answer
SCAM Said they were from the technical department at Virgin Media, wanting to increase our broadband speed. Tried to get us to allow remote access to our computer and went very quiet when I asked if they had our account number. Also called 5 minutes earlier from 01916824597.
Claims to be HMRC tax fraud, "if you do not press 1 you will shortly be arrested". HMRC has my address and my employer details but not my phone number and they certainly don't need to make robot calls from Glasgow. SCAM.

They re a bunch of scum nuggets, keeps calling me, Blocked and they still come back with a slightly different number. I hope they die a painful cancerous death from which the disease gets passed on to their children for generations and they each get to watch their children die painfully. Very lazy scammer. Get a very casual message using whatever name you are using on gumtree telling you youre paypal account has been hacked and to log in to change your pass.Like any sort of financial service would be running their security through a mobile.What made it more amusing for me is if they bothered seeing the third line of the ads they got my number from theyd see in large letters NO PAYPAL

This call was almost certainly made by criminals. It was received on the mobile I only use for emergencies. I do not give its number out. It did not get answered. It would be dangerous to call it back.
