SCAM / SPAM A man rang my landline and asked if I'd had trouble with my Sky broadband connection. I told him I hadn't, but that didn't put him off! He asked me to go to the router and tell him what colour the lights were. I told him I'd noticed he didn't say my name when I answered the phone, so said I suspect he's not from Sky. I asked if he knows my name. He just said "OK". I asked him to tell me my address and customer number, and he said "OK, OK". I told him I'd ha

John Parker Employee ID number 1869438. Claiming I have to pay thousands of unpaid tax - HMRC tax fraud or being sent to court. His Superviser Michael Parker then said ok if you pay today... send a wire transfer --- even the number from Gloucester Police station 01452 saying they want to come and arrest me.

I have had over 70 calls to my works mobile in the space of 2 weeks about a car accident all from different area codes. However, I have just had a call on my personal number, which has never been given out. Do these muppets never give up!!!
A man called who said he was Vodafone and then EE and offered me an outrageous deal of essentially free minutes, free data and free texts for £6 per month. I checked the vodafone website and the closest deal was £33. I suspect that this is a scam and will report.

I answered the phone in French (only what I remember from school). He started talking in English about some survey, and I just said "Bonjour, Parlez vous Anglais". That seem to stump him and he just hung up.
SCAM / SPAM Didn't answer the call, but there are a lot of 020 numbers reported on Dutch sites today because of spoofing. Also in this case it seems to be about spoofing. Niet opgenomen, maar er zijn op Nederlandse sites vandaag onnoemelijk veel 020 nummers gemeld i.v.m. spoofing. Ook in dit geval lijkt het om spoofing te gaan.
