Hi I was called on this number and on answering to my name the caller hung up. On calling the number the name Jean Christoph was mentioned in the voice mail message - very strange. I would like to know more as you are normally able to trace say cold calls from financial services.

Answered this tonight after repeated calls, its a PC scam where they get you to look at your event viewer then try to convince you to download software so they can take over your computer.. Then followed a lot of swearing on my part before they hung up.
Next time, if someone asks who I am, I ll ask who they are before hanging up.

Asian sounding girl, telling me her name is Karen, she's calling from Domestic blah blah (Other people have said this is a scam call supposedly from Domestic & General, about domestic appliance insurance) I quoted a few random elements from the Periodic Table at her, and she ended the call. Result!
I answered and did not speak for a few seconds, this caused them to hangup.

An Indian voice, named James !, confirmed my details claiming to be from the Telephone Preference Service and asked if I was still getting unwanted calls. I confirmed that I still get these and he informed me that I needed to update my details with them as it was about to expire. He then asked if I paid by direct debit - at this point I realised this to be a scam and ended the call.
