I had a phone call from 02922229992 clalming to be Eon, who asked if I wanted a 'Smart meter', they wanted my account details.... RED FLAG!!!!! Eon SHOULD have my account details - well, they certainly had my phone number. I contacted Eon and they told me to block the number it wan't them....! To be hones't I wondered if this was some dirty trick Eon had dreamed up - how would THEY know I had no Smart meter..... and how did they get my phone number, no prizes for guessing sorry. Said they were from CarphoneWarehouse. Offered me a deal on an iPhone 13. I said I had recently started a contract so wasn't interested. She said they would buy out my current contract and also were not trying to get me on a conract either. Sounded super scammy!

Wanted to speak to the business owner and card holder. Sound like a call centre scam.

Scam, they clone your number and then send themselves premium texts which you have to pay for. It should be blocked by providers.

Paid number Not sure what it was as I can’t remember ringing it and can’t find it through google, but it cost £6 and I was only connected to the line for a total of 2 seconds.

Apparently I was due to compensation £££m having been conned by Mecedes about emissions. Told him I had seven Mercs, was a little busy and could he just put the money into a plain envelope and leave it underneath a bench at Fenchhurch Street station without passing GO, and I would have my butler pick it up later. He cut me off without confirming. The number is now blocked. Sense a potential scam.

I haven’t answered this call yet as I tend to not answer calls where I don’t recognise the number - I figure if it’s important they’ll leave a voicemail. I was getting consistent calls from another number in the same area as this one which I blocked yesterday, and now today I’ve already had two calls from this number in the same area. Seems very spammy to me. SPAM

Fraud Attempting to gain banking details, after stating there had been unusual activity on my bank account. I had checked my account this morning , knew it to be untrue so cut off the call. they tried to ring twice more in 10 minutes but declined, then blocked. My bank unaware so reported to Action Fraud.
