Safe number: this is the number used by Apple is you ask for a phone call to verify your Apple account. It's actually in Texas in the US, and not Liverpool - it's a quirk of formatting. I know because I've just been through the system and dialled the number back to confirm.

Domestic Home Guard Ultimate. (Domestichome.co.uk) There is nothing on the web site. They are a home insurance company. I suspect they may be a one man band (someone who calls himself Josh). They mis-sold over the phone to my relative who has disabilities and does not understand what he is signing up to. I am now trying to retrieve £210 that was taken from him by direct debit. No luck so far. I fear this money may be gone forever.

Caller initially claimed to be calling from the University of Sussex, asking me to undertake an online research survey. Then they wanted our email address, and I enquired why was that necessary if the survey was online - all they needed to do was provide me with the web address.
