This was a call from a person saying they were from Virgin Media reporting that our internet had been hacked on numerous occasions to cut a long story short I was asked to download the TeamViewer App onto my iPad so they could “put everything right” they were very convincing and I foolishly parted with some money before my switched on son overheard me and hung up the call, I have deleted the app and contacted by bank to report the “Scam” I wanted to forewarn everyone if they receive a call hang up immediate

SCAM claiming to be Debt collectors, rung on six occasions, last call very aggressive and threatening staff by some bloke with Scottish accent ( weather real or not ) claiming the be the boss and we had had enough chances to clear the debt which was for £4700.00 plus £950.00 for their expenses We are a funeral Directors and the idea was they told us because the nature of our business they didn’t want to call and was hoping that it could be settled over the phone. Said it was carphone warehouse but asked for my bank details.

Said they were from BT and were going to cancel Broadband, installed anywhere desktop access software and installed Trojan Gen 5 to gain access to a bank account. Thankfully the bank saw it as a large amount and blocked the transaction
