Brechin (Scotland) cloned number allegedly from 02. A scam offering 40% off your O2 account. - I know it is a 100% scam as (a) I have had one of these calls before and (b) I ceased to be an O2 customer 4 years ago. Suspect someone hacked their site or an ex-employee has flogged their data to scammers. Foreign guy said he'd send a special code in a text/email but to not divulge it to anyone - probably because everyone gets the same and they don't want you to compare notes!

Overseas noisy background call centre female claiming to be from ‘the technical department’ not a specific company just technical department. Red flags were didn’t know my name or address. I challenged her told her she was talking rubbish about being a technical department. I used a few choice profanities to which she called me a few! I asked her if those were technical terms and she hung up! Obvious scamming call. The call was at 08:45 on a Saturday.
Some sort of SCAM. Phone caller said he was from Microsoft and was warning me that my computer had been hacked. When I terminated the call he rang back to say he was going to disconnect my computer!
I was told that they were a promotional team working on behalf of BT. They offered me a discount on my BT bill of 45%! Wanted to know how I paid my bill. I told them that as BT had supplied them with my name, address and telephone number they should have supplied them with this information also. There was a long pause, then the line went dead. Incidentally the young lady caller pronounced the letter Z (the last letter of my postcode) as 'zee' - an Americanism.

This phone number is from a fraud caller claiming to be FRANK GALLO SOLICITORS. They continued to explain how I have debt that is from companies who miss-sold credit. It was very convincing, and I didn't have any immediate concerns. They had details of a previous debt I owed and then reeled off some "bogus" loads I have never had. Received a call from this number, answered and received an automated message saying my Amazon account had 2 large orders using my card and they didn’t think it was me. It said press 1 for yes it was me and 2 for it wasn’t. I hung up an obvious scam call as how can they know who in the household picks up the call as there might be 5 of us with cards and Amazon accounts!

Saying that was from Virgin Media, asking to access my computer because my landline was corrupted. It was the 4th call today, different numbers but same story and each time they hang up when I told them I am recording the conversations. I had this type of phone call before and I checked with virgin media and they said is fraud, do not give any information because they do not contact customers with such matter.
SCAM Phone sim swop scam designed to by pass the 2 step verification system and gain access to passwords, banking etc. Looks like a Birmingham company actually based in Karachi. Bit of digging on Linkedin etc confirm this and that is it a cover for many businesses including call centres. Tells you all you need to know.
