Caller who sounded Indian said she was from the telephone preference service and calling to say it had expired as - she was just getting to this - the bank card used had expired. She first asked how the telephone bill was paid. As the service is free I rang off.

This is a third party marketing company who call on behalf of ALL mobile providers (T-mobile, Orange, Vodafone, O2 etc) In my case it was T-mobile and I phoned 150 from my mobile and requested my PAC number from their retentions department, intimating that I was leaving them. Dave from Amazeyingly Clean had a Mr. Jones from CFS telephone today stating he did not like the message I left regarding their harrassment tele calls which was polite requesting they stop or I will take court action. I shouldnt have but "I went off on one and was verbally abusive" at which point he hung up. Then he telephoned back and laughed down the phone and then hung up. Since then he has telephoned at least 5 times. So now I m calm I will be reporting the idiot and the company to the authorities.

I initially ignored their calls but I am glad I answered a call in the end. They helped me locate an old workplace pension that I had two decades ago. I hadn t given the pension much thought since I left the job. I couldn t of afforded hundreds of pounds to pay a financial advisor so they really helped me out. I do understand people being annoyed about the cold calling though.
