Foreign sounding bloke, said he was from the credit investigation bureau and that my credit file showed I had unpaid credit cards and loans. Thus us unlikely as I declared myself bankrupt several years ago and haven't applied for any credit since. Absolute scam call with zero accurate information merely phishing for some unsuspecting person to believe their hogwash!
SCAM = Automated message saying there is a tax fraud investigation against my name. You MUST press one... I hung up at this point. HMRC will never contact you by phone.

SCAMi had a number of calls and messages recently from this number 2 automated calls stating there going to go to a county court and 2 voice calls where a gentleman said he was from hmrc but couldn't speak very well English and started asking for my details to be able to tell me Any further info I said that this was not the hmrc number and he hung up I have now blocked this number

This number seems to be used by some call centre - I can see very similar numbers reported, all the same range just with last digits different. A common thing - telemarketing mostly uses a range of similar numbers. This one is mostly reported with PPI, insurance marketing, RTA - accident chasers, sometimes called themselves "First Call Group" - just another big call centre. Just block it or block the range, I have been using the mobile application from these pages, works fine, no problems. Blocked

This number(and 42832/4283990)are used by a call centre, apparently at Opos Ltd. I gather that they are a debt collection agency acting on behalf of NPower. Opos have been phoning me up to 5 times a day, claiming that I owed NPower a balance on a Pay-as-You-Go meter. NPower's bill was based on their crazy 'ESTIMATED' meter readings, NOT actual readings. Bodrul Ahmad and Christopher John Gilchrist are money managers/social workers and I have spoken to both since I took ill health retirement and lump sum in Sept 2011 for March 2012. Asked her to spell her name "genffer dalton" (she could not spell it correctly). Knew my name!! When asked her to repeat a question she said "you an idiot" and disconnected, which proved to me that it was not a "professional" call.
