SCAM SPAM call centre, sounded very dodgy

SCAM. 0330 088 3831. Female scam caller with a strong Indian accent claiming to be from 'AutoNetwork' offering deals on o2 contracts. Totally unsolicited. 10:05 on Thursday 10th March 2022.

Answered the call and heard an automated voice claiming that HMRC would be initiating legal proceedings against me. Terminated the call before they got any further. Very dodgy.

He asked my name and verified my address. Funny thing is, my electric bill is in a family members name. Received a call from this number (07922591295). Its a scam. A voice telling us that we had an £800 on line gambling charge on our our Visa card in America that they (presumably Visa or our bank?) thought was suspicions and was on hold. To stop it we just needed to respond by pressing 1.

call stating 2 actions on my acct. press 1 for okay press 2 to speak to someone. Hung up as bank wouldn't message like that.

Im not from the uk. And the guy that called me was clearly indian but spoke english. Never gave his name or company that he called for. obvious scam is obvious.

They called pretending to be our internet provider and wanted to connect to our internet to see if there were any issues. When we declined and told them that we had a dedicated I.T department that dealt with that, they hung up.
