This number rang me and indicated they were from Amazon security indicating that someone had tried to purchase a mobile phone on my account. Asked if I had received email etc. When I asked if this was a scam they hung up.

Claimed to be Amex and tried to sell some insurance. Later checked on the Amex website and this insurance exists. But still they were pulling bits of personal information during the call, like address and date of birth
