This number called with an automated message claiming to be from the National Crime Agency, threatening that my national insurance number has been blocked for the crimes I’ve committed. Completely fake. Block the number.

Called us trying to get us to “renew” a care plan, and only wanted our bank account details so they could send us renewal details. Claimed that “under GDPR, they could not retain those details”. Said that as soon as they got those details they would call back and verify then send details. Kept trying to “explain”. When told it sounded like a scam, they transferred me to another person. This is my number, my initials are MM and I live in London E14. It seems spam callers are using it as a cover (via computer generated calls) in order to get you to answer. If you do not know me, please do not call back. It is a real nuisance. I suppose it is happening to others as well
Someone called to say that they were from the Bank Security Dept to tell me that £400 had been taken from my Account to pay Amazon and another large figure had been taken from my account

Thi is the second Glasgow number to phone me today about alleged charges on a visa card to Amazon and an international agency. On phoning back, the number is unobtainable, and I assume a banking scam.
