I was caught out by this today. They claimed to be calling from O2. Luckily, I realised after the call ended and was able to change my account details before any damage was done. The scammers knew all of my details - full name, address, email address, how much I'm billed each month - even my security question. They were very convincing. Automated call - apparently my NI has been used for illegal activates, and if I do not press 1 and speak to someone immediately my NI will be blocked, my assets frozen and I will be arrested!
This number was used to call me with unsolicited and incorrect "information" about my supposed "PPI refund".
