SCAM - On answer a strident recorded message tells you that "A criminal tax fraud case has been lodged against you". I didn't bother listening to the full message - I heard enough to know it was a pathetic criminal trying to scare people into handing them either personal data or money. Man phoned claimed to be from UK today, although a quick Google search nothing came up. Unusual as it's a bank holiday Monday.. asked for 30 seconds of my time.. asked if I was a home owner, and what age bracket I fell in.. 30 seconds were up so I hung up
I checked with Virgin after readin Peters comments and they told me it was not a premium rate call .. it was a local rate .. I had a county court bailiff attend my premises and this telephone number was also on the paperwork I was given !! :(

Received call from this number 07787 406 551. Message was left. Seems to be like a robot voice. Threatened to contact Police and pass along NiNo for making annoying calls. This can easily scare people who are unaware of scammers.

SCAM They keep calling to as about insulation, or to follow up on the loft insulation I've just had fitted – I live in a ground floor flat! They say I'm on a renewable energy database but this was on my landline and I never give out that number to anyone.

I was rung by someone on this number who introduced himself as being from Premium Domains. I hung up as I was busy with customers and he then rang back a further 5 times, one of the times he said I know where you live and there were other idiots laughing in the background.

This is apparently a genuine number for FedEx but it's been hi-jacked by a 'BT' scammer using a recorded message saying they've monitored suspicious activity. I cut the call then tried to dial 1471 but the line was still engaged and I had to try a couple more times before it cleared.
