This number seems to be used by some call centre - I can see very similar numbers reported, all the same range just with last digits different. A common thing - telemarketing mostly uses a range of similar numbers. This one is mostly reported with PPI, insurance marketing, RTA - accident chasers, sometimes called themselves "First Call Group" - just another big call centre. Just block it or block the range, I have been using the mobile application from these pages, works fine, no problems. Blocked

I would urge anyone receiving calls from this number to report their experience to Action Fraud and Ofcom. This number belongs to a company called Allclaim Solutions, but they might call themselves ACS. They target the elderly and vulnerable and their main objective is to obtain bank details for anything from insurance for washing machines to rebates for Council Tax. It s a complete scam. This was actually 01977555748. It seemed to be yet another unsolicited call about boilers causing nuisance, alarm and distress to my 81 year old mother. Although the number exists, it is allegedly an unassigned number. As far as I can tell, they can get a temporary number to send yet more nuisance calls, then change the number to keep one step ahead of the law! Call always begins with Dear Customer...' in a female voice.

A woman with a Middlesborough accent tried to interest me in solar panels, saying she was from The Energy Reduction Company. When I asked how she got my number she said it was on their database & when I told her I was registered with TPS she said she d get it removed - but I doubt it as I ve been called by this number before, though not giving the same company name. I have reported them to TPS.
