Probably a scam Number
Just been called as above re HMRC lawsuit. Knew it was a big mistake or more likely a scam so pressed 1. A man spoke politely asking how he could help. Told him he had phoned me and politely hung up ! As they are not even trying to hide their number why don't the authorities track them, prosecute and shut them number down ?

Call center The guys represent themselves as being from the 3 promotions team. Although the number is a London number it would appear it is redirected from a foreign country as the language was not great and any question I asked was answered with a repeated line stating the deal they were offering and not actually answering my question. Asian accent. Claimed to be from TalkTalk security dept., advising me that they have identified problems with our internet connection. Became evasive when I asked for further i.d. I told him that I suspected he was not legit and hung up. He immediately rang again with the same introduction so I hung up again.
Have had a few calls from this number. I decided ot pick up this time and as soon as I said hello it hung up. Suspect it's a scam. I've blocked it.

Number called twice, purporting to be from Caernarfon. Hangs up on answering. In my experience this is an auto-dial check to make sure that a real person answers the number. I will no doubt be getting calls from the Indian subcontinent, with the caller using redirect software to make the call appear to be coming from the UK. I’ve just received a call from an automated voice (08979 041 013) telling me that my IP address has been compromised from several countries and will be disconnected in the next 24 hours. Asking me to press ‘1’ to confirm blah blah blah – obviously I did not do this and I assume this is a scam of some sort – thought I best let you know!
