This number is given as the "customer services" number on a fake eBay email. The email is for a high value item that has supposedly just been purchased on my account and to call customer services if there's an issue. I do not have an eBay account associated with the email address I received the email on. I got a text from this number pretending to have a verification number for Microsoft. I refreshed the website and got Microsoft to send me another a verification number. When Microsoft text you, it will say MICROSOFT. If a mobile number comes up, DO NOT USE THAT CODE.

Said they were Mcafee support, handling issue relating to our home "network" which would mean all devices using network (he meant router) would shortly become infected and stop working. Wanted £200 to fix, as our Mcafee didn't cover "network". Said we'd call back and given this number. Subsequently checked with Currys who support some of our tech who confirmed it's a scam

SCAM - claim to be from BT Openreach and advise my internet searching has gone from private to public. They had my home address details (but I didn’t confirm anything). My system has not been compromised, as I have all my security settings nailed down and up to date. Don’t divulge or confirm anything with them, even when they say they are putting a block on your IP, it’s nonsense.

Scam call from apparent electric complany. After telling them the "owner" is not in. He replies "can i say something. You have a nice voice. I want to hear it over and over again." WTF! I hung up there and then.

Fraud, SCAM, PHISHING 07440008657 claims to be from HMRC in an automated american accent. I pressed 1 to find out more and spoke to a human (with a fake American accent) who immediately asked for my name and postcode. They hung up when I politely said no.

I have received a call from this number a recorded message claiming to be the HMRC threatening to take action against me. There was an option to stay on the line and speak to an operator. Obviously I didn't. When tried to call back, receiver ended the call back.

Supposedly a bank I a. Don't use b. Never used c. I apparently have an account with more than I earn

recorded message saying my card had been used today for suspicious payments of £300 and £1350 today. Then asked me to press 1to cancel payments and a couple of other options. I terminated the call. Obviously a fraud/scam as no indication of which card was involved.

3 mobile network has multiple scam operators - this is another one that relies on the 'target' answering & speaking first so that the automated rubbish begins.
